The Membership Package Fee replaces its existing commission sharing model for new loans. The change is effective for new members from 1 August 2009 and will apply to existing members over a three month transitional period. The new Membership Package better meets the needs of our productive professional brokers.
PLAN NZ will continue to provide user friendly broker software, a client relationship management database, commission distribution through an independent trustee, comprehensive commission reporting, compliance advice and templates, marketing tools and resources, and business development support.
In a tougher economic environment we had to respond to a mismatch between our revenue and drivers of cost. Whilst capping our income per broker the Membership Package Fee ensures we cover costs per broker and better positions us for growth when the economic environment improves.
The review of the business, in particular our costs, has sadly resulted in our decision to make the position of National Manager redundant. As a consequence Julie Stevens will leave PLAN NZ effective 1 September 2009.
PLAN NZ thanks and acknowledges Julie for the outstanding contribution she made in establishing and leading PLAN NZ since April 2002. Her passion for the industry, energy and enthusiasm for brokers and the NZMBA is acknowledged widely across the industry and we farewell her with a heavy heart.
Sue Griffiths (Business Development Manager), Litisha Rogers (Member Support & Training) and Barb Murphy (Office Manager) will continue to provide the support and service which PLAN NZ members have come to expect; service second to none in the industry."
