Mortgage Rates

We welcome Moorhouse Mortgages to our table.  Moorhouse Mortgages is a sister company of Global Home Loans though with a separate line of funding than Global for its two specialists products.  Moorhouse is offering a floating rate of 9.95%, 8.75% for both its six-month and one-year rates and its two and three-year rates are 9.20% and 9.75% respectively.

The Bank of New Zealand's disclosure statement for the March quarter shows the banks mortgage book grew strongly after shrinking slightly in the previous three months.

With a lot of uncertainty in the home loan market at the moment with one of the big questions being "should we fix or float", our economists are also starting to show differing views.
