The lender has come to market with a special fixed one year rate of 4.29%, available to customers with a 20% deposit. The rate is the third cheapest in New Zealand alongside SBS. HSBC Premier customers can currently access the cheapest 1-year rate on the market at 4.19%.
Kiwibank has cut its special 2 year fixed rate to 4.49%, a fall of 16 basis points. Its special 3 year rate has been cut 4.85%, a fall of 14 basis points.
Kiwibank’s new special 4 year rate is 5.19%, a cut of 46 basis points.
The lender is offering a 5 year fixed rate loan of 5.39% from Monday, a cut of 30 basis points and the cheapest in the market.
