A home loan rate goes UP; new market leading price; Auckland takes a hit

Yes, you read it right. With all the talk of falling interest rates, ASB, Bank Direct and Sovereign have hiked their one-year "Special" rates. Sure it's only four basis points to 4.35%, but it's still an increase. Further out the lenders have shaved 30 points from the three-year special rate.
