One-year rates on the rise

The past week has seen the majority of our major banks hike one-year fixed interest rates by between 10 and 30 basis points.  ASB Bank is the only bank to remain unchanged.

The median one-year rate for all major banks has risen 85 basis points in the past 12 months but has dropped 305 points since May 2008.
