The fall of the floating rate

The latest major changes to home loan interest rates this month has been the cuts to floating rates.  The only banks to make these changes are our minor banks to which three of the five cut floating rates from 14 to 40 basis points.

The above graph shows the past 18-months of floating rates for our minor banks.
