Floating - the best place to be

As the above graph suggests, the best place to be in the home loan mortage market at the moment is floating. 

Floating rates have dropped on average 90 basis points since the beginning of the year whereas the median five-year fixed rates have risen over 150 basis points (shown in purple above).  The other interesting point to note is that ANZ has not altered its floating rate since March when it dropped it 50 basis points.
